My name is Camree Pete, I am enrolled in the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians. I grew up on the Standing Rock reservation with my great grandmother; I attribute all success in my life to her. I love to be active, whether that be playing basketball, going for a long run, riding horse or even just working out in my room. My main goal in life is to own a business that will provide wealth for me and my future generation, I will achieve this goal no matter what. Being accepted to the 7th generation program is one of the first steps to achieving this goal and I’m thankful for the opportunity everyday. While attending this program I was convinced by a good friend to apply to USD and was accepted the very next day; I plan to attend the college this fall and finally start my new life. I am majoring in finance with a minor in business administration; at the banquet last week I met a lady and her husband who have experience in starting business ventures, without talking to them I would have no idea where to start. Im extremely thankful for that experience and I hope to have many more like that here.
