INTERN SPOTLIGHT: DYLAN YOUNG (Rosebud Sioux)

Dylan is an enrolled citizen of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe and is currently a freshman, honors student, and political science major at the University of Minnesota – Morris. He is very active on campus and serves many roles. As the freshman representative on the executive board of the Circle of Nations Indigenous Association, for instance, he is responsible for representing the interests of all Native freshman students on campus. During the summer prior to starting college, he attended the University of South Dakota’s Crazy Horse Memorial Program and was awarded the James P. Howe memorial scholarship as the student who displayed the greatest leadership skills and classroom proficiency. Dylan is a high achiever that wishes to one day make a great impact in his home community.
