Grand Teton Colter Bay Interpretive Intern

Hey folks! My name is Jared Wahkinney and I will be an Education and Interpretation Intern this summer at Colter Bay Visitors Center in Grand Teton National Park.

This May I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with my M.A. in Native American Studies with an emphasis on Indigenous Film and Media and Cultural Food Systems.

I’m Comanche. My hobbies include traveling, photography, playing with my dog (Indiana), hiking, camping, watching and discussing films, and food (discussing, learning about, and eating).

I currently work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at OU, and I am also a Social Media Manager for a food and hospitality group in Oklahoma City. I also do various contract work for museums.
