Hello everyone! My name is Kaleigh Edwards. I am an enrolled member of the Caddo Nation of Oklahoma, and I am also Kiowa and Comanche. I graduated in May 2020 with a degree in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from the University of Oklahoma. I am currently working on my Masters in Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis with a concentration working with American Indian/ Alaska Natives. In my first year at Wash U, I was the Powwow Co-Chair, and I helped plan our annual powwow entirely online. My current internship is with the National Council of Urban Indian Health and the Centers for Disease Control to help Urban Indian Health Organizations provide culturally competent and up-to-date protocols regarding COVID-19. I am excited to serve Indian Country, and I am grateful for being part of Native American Jump Start!
