My name is Kalha∙kú McLester of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin, wolf clan. I am a sophomore at Syracuse University working toward a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
This summer I will be working at the Syracuse Center of Excellence, testing the efficiency of commercial heat pumps in the laboratory setting to be used on multifamily residences and apartments. Having previously worked as a carpenter for the past 10 years, I’m really excited to meld my knowledge of the practical with everything I have learned in my course work so far.
During my spare time, I spend it playing with my kids going on camping trips and bouldering. I love to go travelling and visiting new places and look forward to doing more of that in the coming year after the year of COVID lockdown.
