INTERN SPOTLIGHT: Charlee Rose Little Elk (Sicangu Lakota)

Hello, my name is Charlee Rose Little Elk, I am Sicangu Lakota from the Rosebud Sioux Tribe. I recently finished my freshman year of college at South Dakota State University, where I was a pre-nursing student. I am planning to study Community and Public Health in the Fall 2020 Semester at South Dakota State University because I am very concerned and passionate about people on my reservation, especially the children and elders. This is one of many ways I can assist the people of my tribe. I am now at The Indian University of North America where I am taking a 3-credit class and work 40 hours a week at the Crazy Horse Memorial in Visitor Services. I hope to gain better work ethics and become a responsible adult while learning more about my culture here at Crazy Horse.
