ntern Spotlight: Kanalu Monaco

Hello I’m Kanalu and I am a Native Hawaiian from Honolulu. I am a student at Harvey Mudd College where I am pursuing a joint major in mathematics and computer science. Although my freshman year was fully remote, one of the highlights was working with elementary school students in California through my school’s Science Bus club. I am currently working with a small team of fellow Mudd students on a “Scripting For All” project. Our main focus is to use computer science to develop education tools for kids of all ages. My college goals are to participate in lots of research and possibly attend graduate school. Some of my hobbies include running, playing Pokemon, and learning new things.
