Providing Opportunities for Students
Native American Jump Start works with native college students who are interested in gaining valuable work-life experiences through seasonal summer employment opportunities. These employment opportunities typically offer, off the reservation employment. Native American Jump Start provides each intern with a scholarship grant and packet to assist in the transition until they receive their first paycheck. Native American Jump Start will provide each intern with a program mentor, welcome packet, and a financial stipend to assist them until they receive their first paycheck and miscellaneous employment needs. Upon successful completion of their internship, interns will be eligible to receive an additional post internship scholarship.
For Students With an Internship
Native American students who have already secured an internship may apply to recieve program support from Native American Jump Start. Program support includes – financial scholarchip, welcome kit and program mentor. Students may also apply for a program award upon completion of a successful internship.
